Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following posts in two Oil India Ltd. sponsored project/s in the Department of Geological Sciences, Gauhati University:

1. Project Assistant

No of posts: 1

Project Name: "Integrated palynofacies and magnetostratigraphic study of Bhuban Formation in some selected outcrops exposed in the central part of Mizoram, NE India".
Tenure: The tenure of the project is till 31' March, 2020.

Pay: Rs. 20,000/-+ HRA per month.
Educational Qualification: The candidates should be M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology or Applied Geology. The candidate should have sound knowledge on Palynology, Magnetostratigraphy and geoinformatics.

2. Project Assistant

No of posts: 1

Project Name: "Study of hydrocarbon potential, depositional environment and geological mapping of the Disang-Barail transitional sequence in Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh".
Tenure: The tenure of the project is till 31st March, 2020.

Pay: The salary of the Project Assistants is Rs. 20,000/- + 15% HRA per month.
Educational Qualification: The candidates should be M.Sc. in Geology. The candidates should have sound knowledge in the subjects of Geoinformatics for carrying out mapping activities independently.
