Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam invites applications from intending candidates for filling up of 31 Sub-Divisional Sports Officer, Physical Instructor, Jr. Assistant & other posts .

1. Sub-Divisional Sports Officer
No of posts: 01 (UR)

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical Sports Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4 years.B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.
Pay: Pay Band 2 – Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 87,000/- + GP of Rs. 9,400/- + other admissible allowances

2. Physical Instructor
No of posts: 25 (UR-14 (07 for women), SC-07, ST (P)-03, ST (H)-01

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical (PI) Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4years B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.
Pay: Pay Band 2 – Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- + GP of Rs. 8,700/- + other admissible allowances

3. Jr. Assistant
No of posts: 02 (UR)

Educational Qualification:
(i) Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University.
(ii) 1 year Diploma in Computer Application, knowledge in DTP, Excel, Word Power Point Presentation, Internet Browsing etc.
Pay: Pay Band 2 – Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- + GP of Rs. 6,200/- + other admissible allowances

4. Coach
No of posts: 03 (ST (P)-01, ST (H)-01,SC-01)

Educational Qualification:
(i) Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with one year Diploma in Football Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from any other Institute recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
(ii) Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with Diploma in Method of Instruction Course and Basic & Advance Course in Mountaineering from recognized Institution.
Pay: Pay Band 2 – Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- + GP of Rs. 8,700/- + other admissible allowances

Age: The candidates must not be less than 21 years or more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC and ST Candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates only.

How to apply: The application must be accompanied by self-attested copies of all academic certificates and mark-sheets along with other testimonials. The candidate should also submit 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs (self-attested) along with the application (one must be pasted in the application and another two must be submitted separately).

The application should be accompanied with a self-addressed (in capital letter) envelope (22 cm x 10 cm), affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5.00 and with his / her Mobile No. / Contact No. to be furnished below his / her signature in the application form otherwise the application will be rejected.

Candidate must have registration in the Employment Exchange and up-to-date renewal registration number with date must be mentioned in their application form (copy to be enclosed) without which the candidature will be rejected.
