Assam Police has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 173 Jail Warder posts in Prison Department of Assam Police .

No of posts: 135 + 38 = 173 posts

Male: 153 posts
Female: 20 posts

Educational Qualification:
(i) Essential for Male Warder
(a) HSLC or class X passed from a recognized Board
(b) Candidates should produce undertaking as to known bi-cycling

(ii) Essential for Female Warder
(A)Must have passed Annual examination of class VIII or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government.

Pay: Pay Band Rs. 14000-49,000/-, Grade Pay Rs. 5000/- per month
Age: 18 to 38 years as on 1st January 2020 (that is, the candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982).

Relaxation: Upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 (five) years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H) and 3 years for OBC/ MOBC candidates.

Application Fee: NIL .

Selection Process: Candidates whose applications are Sound correct in as respect will have to undergo the Physical Standard Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET). If any candidate is found to have any physical deformity detected by the Medical Officer present in the Selection Board he/ she will be debarred from participating in the other tests.
