Eligibility Criteria: Must be any distinguished academicians who have attained academic excellence with proven leadership quality and meet the following requirements:
(i) Shall be an eminent scholar and administrator
(ii) Possess Ph.D. in any branch of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary education, Research and Development.
(iii) With a minimum of 10 years of service in the rank of professor or equivalent from research or extension System of State / Central Agricultural Universities / other similarly placed institutions.
(iv) The retirement age of The Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University is 70 years and persons who have a minimum of 5 years of service left on the last date of application (i.e. 24th of April, 2020) shall be preferred unless in case of outstanding candidate with proven record of excellence in a similar position.
(v) Knowledge on Agriculture in North Eastern India shall be desirable.

How to apply: Applications in the prescribed format duly signed by the candidate with all the enclosures should be sent to The Addl. Secretary to The Hon'ble Governor of Assam, Governor's Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, Kharghuli, Guwahati- 781001 in sealed envelopes.

In service candidates may apply but shall submit the hard copy of the application through proper channel. Soft copy in addition should invariably be submitted to the email ids: govsecassam@gmail.com and rajbhavan-assam@gov.in.

Both the Hard Copy & Soft Copy shall be submitted latest by 5:00 pm on the last date i.e. 24th of April, 2020.

The application forms may be downloaded from the website of Assarn Agricultural University (www.aau.ac.in). The sealed envelope containing the hard copy of the application should clearly indicate prominently: “Application for the post of Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam".
