Assam Rifles, Shillong has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 27 Specialists and GDMO (General Duty Medical Officers) in AR Hospitals.
1. Specialist
No of posts: 3
Location: Medicine-0O1, Gynae & Obs-01 and Anaesthesia-01 for Shukhovi (Nagaland)
2. General Duty Medical Officer
No of posts: 24
Location: (i) Nagaland (Dimapur/Diphu), Kohima, Phek, Cheiswema, Kiphire, Mokokchung, Wokha, Kashiram Basti, Jaluki, Tuensang, Shamatore, Naganimora ii) Manipur (Nonei, Chassad, Tamengiong, Kakching, Keithelmanbi, Somsai, Sangshak, Chandel, Thinghat, Sajikthampak, Tegnoupai, Sehlon, Joupi) (iii) Tripura (Agartala & Radhanagar) (iv) Assam (Silchar) (v) Mizoram (Lunglei) (vi) Arunachal Pradesh (Changland, Jairampur, Khonsa)
Remuneration:
Specialist Doctor: Rs 85,000/- per month
General Duty Medical Officer: Rs 75,000/- per month
Age: Not more than 67 yrs (Please also refer para 6 below)
Educational & Professional Qualification:
(a) Specialist Doctor:
i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II or the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.
ii) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Speciality as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule-VI or equivalent.
iii) 1 Years 06 months experience for Post Graduate Degree holders & 2 Years 06 months for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma or equivalent.
(b) General Duty Medical Officer:

A recognized medical qualification included in first or Second Schedule or Part Il of Third Schedule (Other than that licentiate qualification) to Indian Medical Council Act,1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part Il or Third Schedules should also fulfill conditions stipulated in sub-Sec (3) of Sec (13) of the Indian Medical council Act,1956 & Completion of compulsory rotational internship.
Medical Examination: Immediately after interview on the same day candidates will be medically examined by Board of Medical Officers detailed by concerned Composite Hospital. Appointment will be subject to medical fitness.
Period of Contract: Initial Contractual Appointment will be for 3 years or till regular incumbent joins. Contract may be extended for further 2 years on year to year basis subject to the maximum age cap of 67 years. Total period of Contract will be five years or till the appointee attains the age of 67 years. Thereafter, the contract will lapse automatically, However, the appointment can be terminated at any time by giving one month notice (on either side) without assigning any reasons by paying/ refunding one month salary.
