Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has released the official notification of Assam Joint Lateral Entrance Examination (JLEE) 2020. Candidates may apply from June 25, 2020 to August 10, 2020.

Assam Joint Lateral Entrance Examination (JLEE) is an entrance exam conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University for admission to 3rd semester of B.Tech programme for the academic session 2020-21. Basically, it is the gateway for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. courses under Engineering Colleges in Assam for diploma holders through lateral entry scheme.

Assam JLEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Admission to any of the Colleges a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:
(a) Recognized Diploma of Minimum 3 years duration from any Polytechnic Institution of Assam under State Council of Technical Education (SCTE)
(b) A minimum of Overall 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) must be scored in the Polytechnic Course
(c) Candidate must be a Permanent resident of Assam
Candidates appearing in their final examination may also apply but they must have to produce their Original Mark sheet along with Pass Certificate of the Final Diploma on the day of Admission.
Assam JLEE 2020 Application Fee
An application fee of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only) is to be paid online using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Assam Science and Technology University shall not accept hard copy of the Application and any other documents.Examination fee, once paid, is not refundable.
Assam ASTU JLEE 2020 Admit Card
The Candidate will be able to download his/her admit card from the University website www.astu.ac.in from August 18, 2020 onwards by entering his/her Application Form number/User name and Password generated during the online submission of Application.
Assam JLEE 2020 Exam Pattern
(a) There will be Joint Admission Examination for Selection consisting of a Single Paper of 3 hours duration which will consist of the following Sections:
(i) Mathematics : 30 Questions
(ii) Basic Computers : 10 Questions
(iii) Graphics : 10 Questions
(iv)Branch of Engineering : 50 Questions
(b) Questions will be MCQ type. Every Question will carry 4 (four) mark each. 4 (four) marks will be awarded for correct answer and 1(one) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Assam ASTU JLEE 2020 Syllabus
Assam JLEE 2020 Syllabus for entrance examination is based on the 3 year diploma course that students study during 3 year Diploma in engineering.
Assam JLEE 2020 Medium of Entrance Test
The question paper contains questions only in “English”.

Assam JLEE 2020 Application Form
JLEE 2020 aspirants have to submit online application. Application form is available from June 25, 2020 and can be filled till July 2020.
Applicant’s need not send copy of Application Form or any Document to ASTU Office. However, candidates may take printout of Application Form for his/her personal record.
Documents to be uploaded:
a) Candidate Photograph: Size of the photograph must be less than 35 kb, height of the photograph between 250 pixel to 320 pixel and width of the photograph must be between 150 pixel to 220 pixel.
b) Candidate Signature: Size of the signature must be less than 35kb, height of the signature must be between 100 pixels to 180 pixels and width of the signature must be between 150 pixels to 220 pixels.
c) The photograph and signature should be either in ‘.jpeg’ or ‘.jpg’ format .

A. Submission of Online Applications:
a) Opening date: June 25, 2020
b) Closing date: August 10, 2020
B. Issue of Admit Cards Online: September 4, 2020 onwards till the day of examination
C. Date of Examination (JLEE, 2020): September 12, 2020 Time: 11.00 am to 2.00 pm
D. Declaration of Result: On or before September 28, 2020
