Assam Institute of Mass Communication and Media Research (AIMCMR) Guwahati is a premier Mass Communication institute in Guwahati. Established in 2007, the institute is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. The institute is also a study centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University.
The institute offers a number of courses; which includes:
1. M.A. in Mass Communication
2. P.G. Diploma in Mass Communication
3. Diploma in Professional Video-editing (Using FCP)
4. P.G. Diploma in Mass Communication
5. Certificate Course in Journalism
6. Certificate in Script Writing
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized university with at least 45% aggregate marks. Candidates who are awaiting their final results can also apply.
Candidates having Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from a recognized university are eligible for admission directly into the third semester of MAMC.
Candidates will be selected for admission into M.A. in Mass Communication (MAMC) course based on the marks obtained in Graduation and Personal Interview.
