Applications are invited in prescribed proforma (given below) for the position of "Young Professional- I and II" at ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning, Regional Centre, Jamuguri Road, Rowriah (near Women University), Jorhat-785004 in the project “Nutrient mapping of Assam” (for YP-II) and institute fund (for YP-I).

1. Young Professional-I
No of posts: 1

Pay: Rs.15,000/
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Agricultural Sciences/Allied and other Science or Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of laboratory analysis of soils, plants and sediments and good communication skill, knowledge of computer (MS Office)

Age: Maximum age limit is 35 for general candidates and relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and woman candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

2. Young Professional-II
No of posts: 2

Pay: Rs.25,000/
Educational Qualification: Post-Graduate in Agricultural Sciences/Basic Sciences/ Geology/Geography/Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics or Graduate Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Veterinary Science.
Desirable Qualification: (i) Knowledge and working experience in spatial raster and vector database handling, management, and analysis in GIS & Remote Sensing based Software. (ii) Working Knowledge in mapping of Landform, Land Use Land Cover, Fallow land; DEM/DTM generation, and Soil Resource based mapping.

Age: Maximum age limit is 35 for general candidates and relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and woman candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

How to apply: Candidates will have to report at ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Jorhat at 9:30 a.m. (for YP-I) and at 1:30 p.m. (for YP-II) with all documents in original for verification, etc.

Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for interview who have all the original certificates and their photocopies. Candidates, who have final mark sheets but not their provisional or original degree certificate relating to essential qualifications with them, will NOT be allowed to appear for interview.

Advance copy of application (scanned PDF Format) may be sent through e-mail id: headnbssjorhat@gmail.com. Bring one set of self attested photocopies of education qualifications etc. and a duly signed recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form on the date of interview.
